Summary

For those that have been around, the play is the exactly the same as last year’s event where you have to find your way through the Horror Circus Tent! In this event, you will be using tools to clear away a fog to uncover prizes … Pumpkins (i.e., Rewards/Daily Special), Toys, Portraits, Stickers, Tools, and Light Bulbs! The Event currency is Tickets which are then exchanged for Tools to dissipate the fog that is obscuring your way through the tent. Grand Prizes are received for every 20 Light Bulbs collected and additional mini-questlines are provided by Toys.

The Grand Prize is the Tarot Card Caravans which has a 22% Att-Att boost when fully maxed at Level 12. The 1.10 efficiency puts it between the Botanical Rotunda and the Appleton Cottage. Not the best, but it also will drop 10 FP and 30 Previous Age Goods on you at that level. The House of Horrors should be playing out in the Daily Special; however, it only showed once in Beta so be ready to get some when it appears.

A calendar is available where you can apply those Stickers access prizes from the Calendar Chest. And as we have seen before, there is an "extra" set of grand prizes available for the Diamond premium. Two new buildings, the Daunting Tower and the Haunted Tree, can be found locked behind the premium. Both buildings are are limited use to provide a 50% Att-Att boost for 24 hours or 20 FP for 5 times.

Event Play

You will acquire Tickets by completing the Event Questline, Event Mini-Questlines, logging into your world, or discover them in city Incidents.

The Clown Town Tent is an 8-wide by 6-tall area consisting of floor tiles (#6). You will navigate from left-to-right avoiding obstacles to discover Pumpkins, Light Bulbs, Avatars and Toys. Tools (#4) are required to clear the fog from the floor tiles and can be purchased (#5) by Tickets (#1). Light Bulbs (#2) and Toys (#7) will be accumulated as they are discovered and picked up.

The Tools provided are the candle, flashlight and lantern. The candle will clear one tile at a time; the flashlight an entire column when placed on a cleared tile but cannot illuminate beyond obstructions; and, the lantern will clear all adjacent tiles when placed on an empty tile however obstructions will remain. Portaits (avatars) can be discovered along with Pumpkins. There are three (3) types of Pumpkins and they each have their own set of prizes as well as percentage chance for the Daily Special (#3).

Prizes

The Rotten and Traditional Pumpkins are the usual regular prizes consisting of Blueprints, Military Units, Decorations, Potions, Buildings, SoK/WW fragments and a small amount of FP, Goods and Medals. These have 5 – 7% chance of receiving the Daily Special.

The Charmed Pumpkins (10% chance for the Daily Special) are where you will find Coin/Supply Rush Potions, Store Building, Boost Crates, and a larger amount of FP, Goods and Medals.

• Horror Circus Set: A set collection consisting of 5 buildings that have their own boosts and bonuses depending on how they are connected to one another. The standard layout is 5 x 6 and if all buildings are upgraded to Level 2, the set will yield Medals, Coins, and Happy along with 11 FP, 25 Goods, 8% Def-Def, 10% Def-Att, 6% Att-Att and 5% Att-Def.

• House of Horrors: A 3 x 4 building that provides for a various amount of Population, NEGATIVE Happiness and Coin. It can be upgraded to Level 6 that will add additional features such as Goods, FP and Att-Def. The last and final upgrade to Level 7, one of three options will need to be selected (Clown, Wolf, Demon) to determine the additional features (FP, Att-Def, Att-Att and Goods).
• Abandoned Asylum: A 5x5 residential building that provides +1 Population, NEGATIVE Happiness, Coin, Goods, FP and Att-Att. At its maximum (Level 9) in EMA provides -210 Happy, 7500 Coin, 20 Goods, 11 FP and 17% Att-Att.
• Botanical Rotunda: A 3x3 building that provides Happy as well as a base 5% Att-Def boost that scales with the buildings age.

Grand Prize Upgrading

The Horror Circus is collection of 5 buildings that can be upgraded once. You will receive a Selection Kit upon completing the first 5 Quests and another upon completion of all 51 Event Quests. More Selection Kits are available from the Grand Prize Rotation List where you will receive an upgrade for every two (2) Grand Prizes (i.e., 40 Light Bulbs found).

Notes and Tips

• Purchasing the large tool packs is recommended.
• All Tools have a chance of proving some illumination to adjacent floor tiles so prizes so that some may be partially exposed. This should not be misconstrued that ALL prizes will be exposed.
• As a precautionary measure, ensure you CLICK on the prize to pick it up and do not rely on it automatically going into inventory.
• You will want to balance chasing prizes versus going the distance (the entirety of the fog does not need to be removed to continue moving forward through the Tent). There is a trade-off of tool usage to distance penetration (heh!) to uncover more Light Bulbs.
• Hold all of your extra Joker stickers until the very end to see which days you would like to spend them on in the Calendar.
